Plans & credits
Credits meter the work that costs real computation, which in practice means the agent. Writing, reading, citing, organising and exporting don’t touch them. Your plan, your allowance and how much you’ve used are always in Settings → Plans & credits.
What spends credits?
Agent turns. Every time the agent answers, researches, teaches or edits your document.
That’s the list. Writing in the editor, uploading and organising sources, reading, commenting, collaborating and exporting cost nothing. You will never lose access to your own work because you’re out of credits.
Two features are gated on a paid plan rather than metered in credits: dictation and audio transcription. They don’t draw down your allowance; they need Pro or Ultra.
How much a turn costs depends on how much work it does. A quick question against one source isn’t a literature review across your whole library. Because that varies, the number worth trusting is the usage figure in Settings rather than an estimate here.
What are the plans?
Free gives you a daily allowance. It refills every day, so a quiet Tuesday puts you back in business without you doing anything.
Pro and Ultra are the paid plans, with monthly allowances that reset with your billing period. Ultra is the larger. Paid plans also unlock the features that aren’t metered in credits at all, dictation and audio transcription, and they offer optional extra usage: if you run out mid-month you can let Skriptr keep working and bill the overflow, up to a monthly cap you set. It’s off unless you turn it on, and the cap is the ceiling.

What happens when I run out?
The agent pauses. Nothing else does.
Your projects, documents and sources stay exactly as they are, and you keep full access to read, write, cite and export. From there: wait for the refill (next day on Free, next billing period on a paid plan), move to a plan with a larger allowance, or on Pro and Ultra turn on extra usage so work continues up to your cap.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
All of it lives in Settings → Plans & credits: upgrading, downgrading, payment details and cancelling.
Cancelling doesn’t cut you off on the spot. A cancelled paid plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then becomes a Free plan. And a plan change never costs you your work: downgrade or cancel and every project, document and source is still there, still yours, still exportable.
